Coconala is a skills matching platform that aims to create a system that allows everyone to pursue their passion. In view of this, we would like to share some of the core ideas that are important to us at coconala.

Our first idea is to “offer opportunities to everyone.” We hope to create a world in which anyone can be an active part of society and stay connected to it at any time as long as they have the individual will to do so. Coconala is committed to providing value to every user including skill providers from professionals to amateurs, as well as private users and corporate customers on the receiving end of these skills.

Our second idea is to ensure “freedom from restrictions.” People encounter various constraints in their lives including where they live and the time they have to pursue their passion, as well as changes in their personal circumstances as they encounter certain milestones in life such as retirement, marriage, childbirth, or setting up a personal business. However, we believe that as long as someone has the right opportunities and is connected to people with a diverse range of different values, they are free to pursue what they wish to achieve. We firmly believe in the potential of each individual and we will harness the power of technology to eliminate all such barriers.

Our final idea is to “make fair dealing a reality.” In the course of participating in various matching activities online, the varying levels of information and literacy possessed by each individual may sometimes compromise fair dealing. However, we are committed to setting up a system that can be utilized with peace of mind for any kind of transaction. By offering the necessary support and ensuring that information is visualized, coconala hopes to create an environment where every user can easily obtain the information they need and negotiate with others on equal terms.

    Chief Executive Officer

    Graduated the Waseda University School of Law. Joined Recruit then experienced product planning and sales in HR and bridal businesses as well as new business development in Ad-technology. Moved to the overseas business planning division at Recruit Holdings then lead global-governance, reorganization, market research, and group company support. Joined coconala inc. in May 2016.

  • Masahide Koike

    Outside Director

    As Executive Vice President at CyberAgent, Inc., he was responsible for launching and scaling various media platform models, including Ameba and ABEMA, as well as other businesses such as gaming. Subsequently, he founded Gratch Scaling Inc. and assumed the role of President and CEO.

  • Kentaro Yadomi

    Outside Director (Audit and Supervisory Committee Member)

    Certified Public Accountant. After joining KPMG AZSA (now KPMG AZSA LLC), he was engaged in accounting audits based on Japanese GAAP, U.S. GAAP, and IFRS, as well as financial due diligence work related to domestic and international M&A and business restructuring support. Auditor of our company since March 2017.

  • Kenichi Imamura

    Outside Director (Audit and Supervisory Committee Member)

    At Recruit Co., Ltd., he served as Head of Corporate Planning and Head of Human Resources, overseeing a wide range of HR functions, including system design, as well as leading management and overseas business development for the holding company. He later became Executive Officer and Head of Human Resources at Z Holdings Corporation before assuming the role of Chief People Officer (CPO) at ispace, Inc.

  • Yuka Hattori

    Outside Director (Audit and Supervisory Committee Member)

    After working at Recruit Co., Ltd. in human resources and business development, established Inclusion Japan Inc. which provides incubation services and became its representative director. Auditor of our company since August 2015.

  • Masatoshi Murakami

    Executive Officer, VP of Product Engineering

    Master’s degree of computer science and intelligent systems at the Graduate School of Engineering of Osaka Prefecture University. From 2007 to 2014, engaged in advanced research in enterprise system development at the Systems development lab of Hitachi, Ltd. After that, experienced multiple web service developments as an engineering leader including CTO of Evelist inc.. Joined coconala Inc. in Jun 2019.

  • Kanako Takeshita

    Executive Officer, VP of Product Management
    Head of Customer Service

    After graduating from Waseda University, joined Softbank Human Capital Corporation as a new graduate. She worked as a marketer at CyberAgent Group, a planner and producer of social games, and then became a business manager. She then worked as an executive officer of an AI company.
Joined coconala Inc. in 2020.

  • Moto Hirano

    Executive Officer, VP of Legal Media

    After graduating from the College of Science and Engineering at Ritsumeikan University, joined Recruit in 2008 then experienced sales & marketing, store promotion, Ad-technology as well as planning and development of online education business. Moved to Recruit Holdings then led new business development. Joined coconala Inc. in July 2017.
